Click the “Advanced Read Authorities” button in the “Read Authorities” tag page.

The advanced read authority is used to control the read permission of a template for certain group of people.
Report Name: the name of the report on which read permission would be set.
The dialog will list all the relevant departments and roles, which were selected in the “Read Authorities” dialog previously.
Scope: the scope of the reports whose read permission will be granted.
- All
Means all report instances from this template can be read by those users who are of the department / role listed in the first column of the list.
- Filled by my department
Means report instances of this template can be read by those users who are of the department / role listed in the first column of the list, and who are from the same department as the report instance’s filler.
If “Including related flows” is selected, then in addition to report instances directly filled by relevant users, the report instances that had been indirectly manipulated by the same user, (i.e. processed via workflow tasks but not initially filled by the user), could also be read. The “relevant users” here means users who are from the same department as the user trying to read the report instance, as mentioned in the paragraph above.
- Filled by my branch
Means report instances of this template can be read by those users who are of the department / role listed in the first column of the list, and who are from the same branch as the report instance’s filler.
If “Including related flows” is selected, then in addition to report instances directly filled by relevant users, the report instances that had been indirectly manipulated by the same user, (i.e. processed via workflow tasks but not initially filled by the user), could also be read. The “relevant users” here means users who are from the same branch as the user trying to read the report instance, as mentioned in the paragraph above.

The “my branch” here means the hierarchy level, (a department, branch office, or any relevant business division), that is immediately above a user’s hierarchy level that the user is reporting to, and with the “Is Branch” property set in the Management Console. If no hierarchy level above a user’s position is set with the “Is Branch” property, then the uppermost hierarchy level, the whole organization, which is always looked as a branch, will be seen as a user’s “my branch”. |

instances directly filled by relevant users, the report instances that
